Johnson
Wright performed a remediation engineering cost analysis in
connection with a potential corporate acquisition. One of the
properties included within the transaction was a former landfill
site in Southern California. Johnson Wright reviewed the
technical information provided by the seller concerning the site,
obtained additional information from regulatory agency files, and
interviewed regulatory personnel. Using this information, Johnson
Wright developed a site-specific future cost model to evaluate the
potential maximum future costs associated with the site. This
future cost evaluation was used to assess insurance options that
could be incorporated into the corporate acquisition process.
