George Mead is a Registered Professional Geologist and Environmental
Assessor with over 19 years experience assessing environmental
liabilities on project sites ranging from undeveloped properties to
Superfund sites. Mr. Mead has performed and managed over 1,000 Phase
I Environmental Site Assessments throughout the United States for
property developers and local, national, and international financial
institutions including Fortune 500 companies.
Mr. Mead has also designed and managed numerous Phase II
investigations of soil and groundwater conditions to assess
the nature and extent of contamination from petroleum
products, heavy metals, volatile organic compounds,
semi-volatile organic compounds, pesticides, herbicides,
wood treating compounds, and PCBs. Mr. Mead has developed
numerous cost estimates for investigation and remediation of
his project sites because they were associated with property
transactions or financing. Over the past nine years, Mr.
Mead has assisted insurers and attorneys auditing past
environmental costs and developed future cost models for
investigation and remediation at commercial and industrial
properties.
